Day 87 of 2020
A messy morning milking - each cow received a slow release Copper bullet.
They didin't appreciate being fussed with in the shed!
Related post *here*.
The above bullets are the five that were spat out, two we noticed straight away so those cows got a second one. Three will remain copper-less until next year.
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 84 of 2020
Sage saves the day!!
The two wild sheep mentioned yesterday were acquired by our son to graze his orchard.
There is no grass left so we said they may as well come to our orchard. It took a lot of cunning but son and hubby managed to get them on a trailer and into our orchard.
They stayed there approx 5 minutes before going through the fence and ending up in the cow paddock.
A big paddock.
Anyone who has dealt with sheep knows how hard they are to shift if they don't want to.
Enter Sage, a neighbour's dog.
She won a placing at Dog Trials over the weekend.
Within minutes she had them from one end of the paddock to the other, through the gate and back into the orchard.
The fences were mended yesterday and so far, they are still in it!
It was amazing to watch such a good dog in action!
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.
