| Found this Weta living in the watering can tucked away behind a tree. They are nocturnal so he was a bit confused about being photographed. I put him back in the tree and he scuttled away. (I had a nightmare about a Weta once when I was a kid...actually the dream was about a Christmas decoration that I thought was on my pillow but when I woke up, a Weta was there instead!) |

They send a shiver down my spine. Coming from England I saw my first weta in my twenties and wondered what on earth it was.
