Day 60 of 2020

A fun new game and challenge was discovered today.
This would possibly be classed a 'Vintage' toy - I seem to remember it from
a long time ago!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 59 of 2020

Camoflauge?
I don't think so!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

Day 58 of 2020

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 56 of 2020

A change of scenery tonight.
At ED's doing a spot of babysitting (and stock minding!)

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 55 of 2020

I thought it had been a while since Miss Piggy had put in an appearance here but it hasn't really but oh well.
For a bit of fun I search back and found the first photo I have of Miss Piggy, formerly know as Ralph, taken in October 2013.
Because of the damage wild pigs do, and to save him (who was actually her) from a life of chance due to hunters, we managed to capture him (her) and bring him (her) home.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 54 of 2020

This bunch of bananas was so heavy it broke off the plant.
It's the biggest bunch with the biggest fruit I've grown to date.
Yum.

Day 51 of 2020

Another Playcentre day for the kiddies and Ganma.
George loved his painting.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 50 of 2020

I've discovered one good thing to come out of this drought.
We have a nectarine tree down by the chook yard. It was cut down before we moved here but grew back a long time ago.
It's a prolific bearer but usually the fruit splits, and the skin hardens with any summer rain. Although edible and sweet, they're not very satisfying.
This year, with no rain, we have lovely big fruits - no splits and totally yummy.
Now we have to beat the birds to the top ones!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 46 of 2020

Some days just start off all wrong.....
(Hmm, you may have to look closely!)

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 45 of 2020

Herd testing during morning milking.
A metered sample of each cow's milk is taken and tested for quality and quantity. Testing can also tell if the cow is in calf.
How we spent our Valentines morning...together in the shed!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 44 of 2020

Thursdays are now my Playcentre day (as my qualifications help cover them for funding).
Lily's looking very grown up here carrying her lunchbox to the car at the end of the session.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 43 of 2020

It's not only us who enjoy being down by the stream.
I managed to snap this Fantail, piwakawaka having a rest from its usual flitting around.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 42 of 2020

Feeding out for the cows tomorrow.
Today Northland was officially declared to be 'in drought'.
We knew that already.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 41 of 2020

That pellet of feed in my photo two days ago? Here it is, being enjoyed.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 37 of 2020

A grove of trees out at the runoff. The stock graze under these (great shade!) hence not the thick
undergrowth under most of our bush areas.
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 32 of 2020

I was disappointed with the quality of this photo once I got it on the big screen; however it does tell a pretty cool story in spite of that :-)
I spent time with these two today, adventuring down in the stream in the bush where it was lovely and cool!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.
