The start of a new farming season.
Gypsy day in New Zealand, when farms, cows, jobs change hands.
Traditionally we would see herds of stock on the roads moving to new farms, uteloads of farm gear, stock trucks and so on. A day when we've been on the move too, over the years.
We're starting our 13 season on this farm.
We're starting our 13 season on this farm.
Starting our 20th season in Northland and 20th season as farmowners.
See you next time,
Raewyn.
Some very important milestones for you.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of gyspy day before....20th season of hard work!! But must be wonderful to have your own place.
ReplyDeleteI too haven't heard of Gypsy day. There is nothing similar to this in Australia at all. Each day rolls over to the next and not one would be classed as a new farming season. Congratulations for reaching your milestones. May you have many, many more fruitful seasons on your farm.
