Well I'm back to the quails again!
This little family is an endless source of fascination and intrigue for me!
"An enemy approaches!! Quick, babies, run to safety."
Mum and Dad were literally herding them to safety. Mum keeping a look out while Dad moved them along. See the little ones running. These were the last two - the other four already herded and 'safe'.
Babies huddled while Mum keeps watch.

Soon after, a car appeared down the drive, and the dog started barking, so they ran under the bushes to safety!
Amazing with the cats and the dogs, this whole family is still complete. Lately they've been joined by another male. Not sure of his history but he was here too keeping an eye out.
