Day 299 of 2020

Knowing which day is the right day for taking/sharing a photo of this rose is tricky.
What if it rains or blows overnight and I've missed my chance.
What if we have more days of brilliant sunshine and they get even better?!

I took the chance and took the photo. This rose is a once-a-year wonder.
So lovely when it flowers and a mess of prickly thorns the rest of the year.
I think this year I need to give it a good cut back and let the rest of the garden have a break!

Old fashioned roses are like that aren't they, amazing display once a year and then prickly bush the rest. This one has beautiful blooms.

365 days and more

I like to take photos
I like to blog
Some say I talk too much--
So here is my 365 day blog;

With my camera on hand (and the batteries charged) I have twice taken up the challenge of keeping a photo journal - a photo a day for the year during 2012 and 2014, and spasmodic photos at other times. It's been great fun!

I had a another try in 2017 but didn't last the distance. In 2020 I posted another year of photos.

Here in 2024 I'm trying again because I love having a daily record of our lives. This time I'm using my phone and I've altered the rules...while the photos will be taken each day I will post them when I get up the next morning.
