Day 343 of 2024

I was a bit concerned that there was something wrong here as there were so many bees outside the hive first thing in the morning - rather than tucked up inside sleeping! But I was reassured that this was a 'strong hive' that needed another box on top.

The bees do look quite healthy, don't they??!!

I spotted this next door, at my son's.

Unfortunately this one had 'hatched' by the time the kiddies got home, but they did spot another one that they spent some time watching (and waiting) before it was time for bed.
