We call them "round bales"! What is the crop? We have different varieties - here in Texas it is mostly Coastal Bermuda Grass, Haygrazer (a type of sudan grass) and Alfalfa. Always interesting to learn about similar things across the way!
When I was young there was a show from these two gentlemen. http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Kooten_en_De_Bie .In one of them they let people see that underneath all that palstic there was sugar in one, koffie in the other one. What did I know then, now I know you have enough sugar for your winter to come. ;o))))
