Day 70 of 2020

Many of our native trees have tiny little flowers/fruits which you don't even realise are there until you stumble across them.
This is the Kahikatea tree - our tallest forest tree (apparently!) and the berries, called Koroii, were once a highly valued food source. Amazing when you see how tiny they are!
We are so lucky with the number of native trees on our property. I really would like to try and get photos of them all.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

  1. Wow I thought the Kauri would have been the tallest tree in the forest. Lovely colour in the berries.
