A very kind friend has offered to shear her and Paddington as our usual arrangement hasn't worked out.

New girls on the block

One of 3 new chickens we got today. Quite pretty little girls.
I clipped a wing of each as I let them out - hopefully they'll all be there in the morning.

Remember the orchids hubby picked me..?

Here they are growing in their wild state. This is thick clay soil on the edge of the track through the bush. The moss gives it all quite a unique feel.

Ahhh!!

My husband doesn't usually PICK me flowers but he came home today with these.
They were growing alongside the track out to the back of the farm and thought they would disappear without anyone seeing them if he didn't!
They are Sun Orchids, the blooms only open in full sun, which is why I had trouble photographing them at the end of the afternoon!!.

Tiny cute flowers onthis vine - I'm not sure what it is - Dad thought it was a NZ Passionfruit when he gave it to me but...?  The flowers smell like Jasmine.

Working on my MIL's sewing machine which her mother got the year she was married (1926).  It needed a new leather belt and a really good oil. We finally got everything moving!!
