Day 229 of 365

Thank you, Leanne, who sent me this sweet Violet in the post - it is flowering and seems happy in its new home :-)
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 228 of 365

At the neighbour's where I have one mob of calves, this handsome fellow waits for my arrival so that I can throw him a bit of lumpy milk. He's a fast learner.
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 225 of 365

Went for a walk around the orchard - What's in my beanie this month?
Just citrus fruit at the moment so we are getting plenty of vitamin C.
Chooks are laying - check out the size of that egg!!!
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 224 of 365

How can you tell when Miss Piggy has just got out of bed?
She still has her bedding draped over her!!
(We have decided that she is not a morning pig. 9.30am and she was just getting up!!)
You can also see the mess she is making of the orchard, digging it up with her snout, the ring isn't stopping much!
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 223 of 365

Taking one mob of cows back to the shed for drafting and sorting.
Book to their paddock now and some fresh pasture.
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 218 of 365

We are leasing the neighbour's block this year and that is where all our calving cows are. Between the paddocks and the river is this beautiful stand of native trees. Mostly Totara, but quite an assortment. With a good fence up now it would be nice to see this area regenerating.
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Days 214 and 215 of 365

Small dogs have trouble in long grass - and lots of fun, too.
Hubby  told me he had bought me something while in town... I was so intrigued, what could my gift be...?
A lady-sized (apparently) pair of bolt cutters so I can open the bales of compressed shavings for the calfshed
all by myself!
Hmm, not sure about this 'gift'!
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 213 of 365

More cows and calves (sorry there's likely to be a few of them!).
This young fellow was born in the night - always amazing how quickly calves become mobile.
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

A bit of photo cropping gives another effect.
