A home game for our guys - our son is the big looking number 3.

Day 117 of 2024

Our attempt at growing Giant Pumpkins...once the plants germinated we didn't really do anything to them, so we were surprised to get one that was pretty big - but not big enough for the competition day on Sunday!

Day 113 of 2024

If you can work this out - a favourite game of Lily and George is to make 'fishing lines', to play with Tammy on the stairs.
Tammy seems to love it as much as they do!

Day 111 of 2024

Haha now this is honestly the only photo I took this day, to send to Sue.
If you look carefully, it shows me in front of the SAME picture as yesterday's duo-selfie.
Yes, I did not leave Australia on Thursday when intended......a gluten event meant I wasn't allowed to board the plane so I had to wait for the next day!

Day 110 of 2024

One last selfie before we say good-bye at the airport!

Day 104 of 2024

Not the best photo I know, but it will have to do. Saw heaps of Kangaroos this time at Baradine (Scrub Stitching). Getting up early to go for a walk may have helped!

Day 103 of 2024

This photo may not look very exciting, but to Sue and I, it was!
Every year at Scrub Stitching Chooky's mum Nea makes scones for morning tea.
How exciting it was this year that she also made some gluten-free ones so we could join in! (It wasn't without grumbles on her part but we much appreciated them!!)

Day 97 of 2024

We finished our time on The Great Ocean Road, along the bottom of Victoria (I think!).
This memorial was placed here to commemorate the returned servicemen (WW1) who built the road.

Still on the Great Ocean Road. Gibson Steps Beach.
To get to the beach we climbed down a step of steep steps on the cliff face.
(If you enlarge the picture, you can see them about a third of the way along the cliffs.)

Day 93 of 2024

Poor little girl had a rocky start to the day... I didn't realise when I let the dogs off that she was still outside, playing in the bushes.
An orange flash sped across the lawn and straight up the apple tree.

Day 92 of 2024

A nice treat - roasted Chestnuts.
With butter and salt, just how Dad used to have them.
The Chestnuts from my childhood used to explode in the pan but these ones behaved themselves in the airfryer.

Day 90 of 2024

Stocktake day at work!
Lots of counting.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 89 of 2024

Forming the new driveway for YD.
2 posts along this length were able to be put in using the tractor and post rammer; it couldn't get through our good old Northland clay pan so the rest have to be 'dug' using a water blaster. The water breaks down the clay. It took the MOML an hour to form the previous hole.
Quickset concrete is put into the hole with the post to finish the job off.
