Day 116 of 2020

Commemorating Anzac Day.
The rose is from a plant I bought a few years ago as an Anzac related fundraiser - can't remember what it was called but you can tell from the colour what the cause would have been!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

See you tomorrow,

Pink and Orange, an unusual colour combination but it works here, I feel.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 112 of 2020

Not a remarkable photo you might think - but notable because of the umbrella!
Yes we had a wee bit of rain, which was most welcome :-)

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 107 of 2020

I've seen the odd  Fernbird on my walks out towards the runoff but this was the first time I've been able to photograph one. I didn't know about these wee birds a few months ago.
It could have stood against a more contrasting background for me!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 106 of 2020

I've gotten a little behind in my photos.
This was from my riverbank walk.

Day 103 of 2020

Out at the runoff. Some curious heifers wondering what we are up to.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 102 of 2020

Not the clearest photo of a Tui that I've seen but I like this photo all the same!
He was having a good old sing, which is how I managed to spot him.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 101 of 2020

Yes, that man's working again.
Drilling grass seed.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 100 of 2020

Well I thought it would be nice to have some Momentous Photo to mark 100 days into this year.
Instead we have Katie-Cat. She's the one who lives down at the barns by the chookhouse.
At the moment, whenever I go down there she jumps out of the same place in the grass to greet me, it's obviously a cosy comfortable spot!
(She's the one I often have to feed in a cage to keep the chooks away!)

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 99 of 2020

Supermoon (At its closest to the earth)
We were quite cloudy for some of the night but it sure was a bright moon when the clouds did clear.
No need for lights on when we got up!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 98 of 2020

I went for my walk before breakfast this morning. The sun was just starting to do its thing.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 97 of 2020

Another Day. Another Hill.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 96 of 2020

A wee boy visiting to raid the Feijoa trees. Nothing like freshly picked fruit!
(Don't worry - keeping distances - have a good zoom on my camera and a good fence in between!)

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 95 of 2020

The light was catching these trees just right.
Nice autumn colour but sadly the tree turning red is actually a dying conifer!
It doesn't seem to like the drought, another of the same variety has already died.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 93 of 2020

I would have thought that the bulls would have been more interested in the cows, than me!
There is a river in the way though!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 92 of 2020

Another nice walk today.
(More *here*)

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 91 of 2020

There go the last of the cows after the last milking of the season.
A long milking as we treated each quarter (each teat)(a cow has 4 teats so each section of her udder is called a quarter!) with either a tube of teat seal or long acting penicillin. This ensures optimum udder health when they calve.
So they're now on holiday until mid-July onwards.
Usually we dry off May 31st so this is very early - but with the drought it's the best thing to do.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.
