Day 169 of 365

Serious work
There's something down the back of the woodpile and this little guy spent all day trying to get at it. The other (young) dog started carting the firewood away  - this woodpile is about 1 1/2 metres high so they would have been digging for a while!!

Day 168 of 365

Garden Art
In 1871 when my husband's Great-Grandparents came to New Zealand they settled in the Whangarei Heads and built a  house on the land they broke in and farmed. One of our neighbours carved this Maori carving for us from one of the original piles, which we  located and dug up about 6 years ago (the house is long gone).
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 167 of 365

Colourful cows
At this time of the year a lot of the cows around the countryside are looking very colourful, as farmers prepare for mating.
My camera has (inadvertedly) gone on a holiday with a daughter so it's iPod photos for me this week. Talk about being forced to learn new skills!!
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.
