Out the back there is a large wetland. It's lovely to see when the flax is flowering.

I thought it had long finished flowering, but the Wisteria is still throwing out the odd bloom.

Now this is silly.

Ages ago when I had my wee chickens in a cage, I used this pole to help support a covering. When I dismantled the cage, I just propped the pole against the fence. 
The vine that grows all around the chook yard is treating it like a bit of a vase, it's grown in at the base, and up to the top - about 2 metres, at least!

So relieved to see Katems this morning...she had disappeared for 5-6 days.
being 16 years old we were really fearing the worst.
She was very hungry so had a big scoff!
This is here she normally lives, down at the old shed by the chook house.

FINALLY, the last cow calved and this is the last calf for the season :-)
She was very late and we worked out/remembered that the bulls got in with the herd again after they'd been taken out!
[Lucky for me, I only fed him for 4 days until he went to a new home, where he is being thoroughly spoilt.]

Some springs the supermarket has a rewards scheme - spend so much and get a 'Little Garden' to plant.

At Mum's.

Did I take a photo of the boxes I unpacked? Or of the visit with Mum's sister#1? Or with Mum's sister#2? What about the visit with sister#3?

Did I take a photo during the delicious dinner at my sister's??

NO!!!

Instead there's a photo of one of the lawn areas of the complex.

So great that Mum has moved back to her home turf and there is lots of family around.
