I have been waiting and waiting for this new Magnolia to flower - it's one I bought after seeing on a Garden tour a couple of years ago.

After horrendous weather last night I was so pleased to see these blooms still intact!!

I was pretty pleased when a random pumpkin plant started growing near the compost bin a month or so ago.

Lately, though, I've realised it's the inedible variety we grew last year for the pumpkin growing competition!!

Every year this rose gives us so much pleasure! It rambles throughout the garden and the blooms are everywhere.

It's always hard to know when it's at its peak, but this photo isn't too far off it.

Once it has finished flowering the work begins, cutting it back so the rest of the garden can bloom.

Then it will be back this time next year!
