Day 104 of 2025

An outback tour today, taking us to the Opal Minefields.
We were taken to 3 pubs (!) which are the heart of each little community.
Here we are fossicking for opals in areas where loads of mine tailings have been put.
We found little bits of opal rock but NO colour so of no significance (nor financial benefit)!!

Even though you didn’t find any good bits of opal you both had fun fossiking.

They were all interesting places to visit - shame we didn't make our fortune, but the little bits were interesting.

I like to take photos
I like to blog
Some say I talk too much--
So here is my 365 day blog;

With my camera on hand (and the batteries charged) I have twice taken up the challenge of keeping a photo journal - a photo a day for the year during 2012 and 2014, and spasmodic photos at other times. It's been great fun!

I had a another try in 2017 but didn't last the distance. In 2020 I posted another year of photos.

Here in 2024 I'm trying again because I love having a daily record of our lives. This time I'm using my phone and I've altered the rules...while the photos will be taken each day I will post them when I get up the next morning.
