Day 197 of 2025

Finally work on our new stock yards and loading ramp has begun (nothing like a deadline of calving cows to put pressure on the job!).
Unfortunately the digger found a buried water pipe. And managed to twist and spin it somewhere underground. Years of rock and compaction meant finding the end of the pipe underground was nearly impossible and it was not an easy fix.
Much water, mud and cursing resulted.
Finally the MOML decided to run a new water pipe and we all breathed a sigh of relief.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

  1. We have the gas board working nearby at the moment and they managed to rupture a mains water pipe on Wednesday. Water everywhere but fortunately fixed in about 4 hours. Lucky we were out to lunch for most of that time. xx

  2. A new pipe is a great idea.
I remember a similar problem at our place and a new pipe worked well.

  3. Interesting how the digger can twist and spin and yet it is hard to get at!! Muddy work there.
