Day 58 of 365
Time for some farm photos —
Cows on the turnips - actually just about to be moved to their paddock of grass. (The rest of the herd is already heading out the gate, a few linger trying to get the last few rations!) |
Just have one more feed/day of turnips left, the last of our summer crop. |
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Days 51 and 52 of 365
Me and my boy. Obviously I didn't take this photo. |
Second photo is of Dad's camera which Mum gave me a little while ago. My little one was playing up (actually I discovered it was only flat batteries making it do silly things!)..... Typical Dad, about 4 sets of rechargeable batteries, lots of memory cards, telephone numbers on the instruction book and everything packed very methodically away in cases and a bag.
First challenge - how to turn it on! |
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 42 of 365
Take a closer look....
...at the Totara You don't really notice, but at this time of the year...... |
...It has these tiny little berries. Actually, I just found out these are called 'fleshy cones' and the strange looking green knobs contain seeds! |
See you tomorrow,
Raewyn.

Day 37 of 365
A Pig Tale
Cant have one picture without the others.....
Out at the runoff we have finally lured Ralph into a trap (using a trail of maize and corn cobs). See Day 14 *here*. |
After a 3 kilometre trip along the (burnt) track he arrives at his new home. |
We have become quite attached to this little pig who lived with the cattle, however we have a lot of hunters come through as pigs do a lot of damage. We decided to give this little one a second chance - and a life of luxury in our orchard.
See you tomorrow,
