 The mid-afternoon job of each day is bringing the new calvers (and their calves!) in.
We had a total of 9 to deal with today which kept us busy.

Nasty weather means a late afternoon shift for the cows.
Fresh grass and full bellies will mean happier animals and less mud.

Finally work on our new stock yards and loading ramp has begun (nothing like a deadline of calving cows to put pressure on the job!).

Unfortunately the digger found a buried water pipe. And managed to twist and spin it somewhere underground. Years of rock and compaction meant finding the end of the pipe underground was nearly impossible and it was not an easy fix.

Much water, mud and cursing resulted.

Finally the MOML decided to run a new water pipe and we all breathed a sigh of relief.
