Day 48 of 2025

And it's back home and straight into Ganma duties!!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

Day 47 of 2025

Couldn't resist using this cheery photo of mum!
A day spent cleaning Dad's headstone and his park bench.
(Tokoroa.)

Day 46 of 2025

Family day with siblings and Mum and her siblings.
There's no better soup for the soul than sitting around a table laughing with my siblings!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

Day 45 of 2025

Sunflowers and the Sea. A change of scenery for a few days, at my sister's.
(Tauranga)

Day 43 of 2025

An Aunty gave me some Dahlia bulbs she thought I might like - the flowers sure are stunning!

Day 42 of 2025

I don't often get a decent sunset photo as the trees are in the way, but here's one that's not too bad!
We'd had a bit of rain so that added to the atmosphere.

Day 41 of 2025

This kitten is good at giving us heart attacks!
Balancing on the top rail while trying to catch her tail did not look particularly safe, but she is obviously more agile than we give her credit for!

Day 40 of 2025

My first hill walk since coming home from mum's, as I've had a head cold that sapped all my energy.
A nice morning for a walk 😊

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

Day 39 of 2025

Why did Odie need a tractor at his party?
To hang the Pinata from, of course!

Day 38 of 2025

Odie's last day at kindy, and graduation.
Something he was looking forward to, after watching other 5 year olds do this over his time at kindy, but nervous all the same!!
He and his mum sewed a feather onto the Korowai (cloak), wrote his name on it, was awarded his leaving certificate and gift, and sung to.
(We were sitting in the wrong place for a decent photo darn it!)

Day 37 of 2025

See what I mean!!!!!!
Coming up the rear of 24 chickens....one kitten!!

Day 36 of 2025

This 'kitten' is scared of the chooks.
The Chooks are wary of her.
But she won't stay away.
She causes havoc in the chicken yard - some of the chooks won't walk past her to come in for their feed (and to be shut away for the night); she won't let me catch her to remove her.
There's a lot of clucking and prowling.
I try to be as sneaky as I can - feed her at the house and sneak down to do the chooks - but she gulps down her food and catches me up.
Or I shut the doors but she finds an open window and catches me up.
There's a handful of chickens who won't enter the yard with her there.
So I often have to go back at dusk once they're roosting for the night to shut the door.

Raewyn

Day 33 of 2025

It's no secret that my garden has been very neglected over the past year.
It's just as well that some things just look after themselves!
First Monarch I've seen this summer.

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

Day 32 of 2025

"I can see the whole world from here, Ganma".
Shutting the cows away after morning milking.
A little boy was very happy to have his Ganma home again too!

See you tomorrow,
Raewyn

Day 31 of 2025

Miss Tammy Cat was very pleased to have Ganma back home again.

Such a pretty place to live.
